Hoipolloi: Our shows/360

Introduction

Hoipolloi and Hugh Hughes have been working together since 2005. Hugh has now performed his award-winning shows on five different continents, sharing his experiences and making connections all over the world. 360 is the third show Hoipolloi and Hugh Hughes have made together.

Here’s what Hugh has to say about the show:

“In 360, I wanted to get to the heart of some big questions to do with honesty and friendship. I’m very grateful to my oldest Gareth, for giving me permission to share an experience that we went through together once. In 360, I use this story to examine why certain things happen inside certain feelings. I hope the show will make people laugh and help shed light on some things which can be difficult to understand.

360 is a little different from my previous shows. I perform completely alone onstage, with no set, costumes, props or multimedia. But I hope that audiences will be able to fill this empty space using their imagination. I believe this will allow me to share my experiences in new ways and make more intimate connections than ever before.”
